Thinking About a Ragdoll?

Start Here.

A few of the questions I hear most often from future families.

Is a Ragdoll the right breed for me?

Ragdolls are known for their gentle personalities, affectionate nature, and desire to be part of everyday family life. They thrive in homes where they receive plenty of attention and companionship.

If you're looking for a cat that's deeply connected to its people, enjoys being involved in daily routines, and prefers relaxing beside you rather than hiding under the bed, a Ragdoll may be the perfect fit.

What makes Ragdolls different from other cat breeds?

Every breed has its own unique personality, but Ragdolls are especially known for their calm temperament and devotion to their families.

They're often described as "puppy-like" because they enjoy following their people from room to room, greeting them at the door, and simply being wherever life is happening.

They aren't just beautiful cats—they're wonderful companions.

Are Ragdolls good with children and other pets?

Generally, yes.

Their calm, patient nature makes them wonderful companions for respectful children and many other household pets, including dogs.

Of course, every animal is an individual, and introductions should always be made thoughtfully and gradually.

Are Ragdolls indoor-only cats?

Yes.

Ragdolls are trusting by nature and typically lack the strong survival instincts of outdoor cats. Keeping them indoors helps protect them from traffic, predators, disease, and injury while allowing them to live longer, healthier lives.

How much grooming do they require?

Their silky coats require far less maintenance than many people expect because they have very little undercoat.

A thorough brushing once or twice each week is usually enough to keep their coat beautiful and minimize shedding.

Can I visit your cattery?

Because the health and safety of our cats and kittens always come first, I do not offer general cattery visits.

Instead, I love sharing photos, videos, and updates as kittens grow. And will do so with you. Once your kitten is ready to go home, I'll make sure you have everything you need to feel confident and excited about welcoming them into your family.

How much do your kittens cost?

My pricing reflects the health testing, veterinary care, nutrition, socialization, and time invested in every kitten we raise.

Please see the available kittens page or contact me for current pricing and availability.

How do I reserve a kitten?

Once kittens are available, families may join the reservation list with a deposit.

I'll walk you through the process and keep you updated throughout your kitten's journey.

Can I choose my kitten?

Yes, of course —but I also believe in helping create the best possible match.

After spending weeks with every kitten, I learn their personalities, confidence levels, activity levels, and temperaments. I use that knowledge to help guide families toward the kitten that's likely to thrive in their home.

My goal isn't simply to help you choose a beautiful kitten.

My goal is to help you find the right companion for many years to come.

Have your breeding cats been tested for HCM?

Yes.

The health of future generations begins long before kittens are born.

My breeding cats receive appropriate health testing, including screening for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), along with other responsible breeding practices that help support healthy, well-adjusted kittens.

What other health testing do you perform?

Responsible breeding is built on continual learning.

I carefully evaluate pedigree, health history, temperament, and appropriate health testing when making breeding decisions. Every pairing is intentional and designed with the breed's long-term health and well-being in mind.

Are your kittens litter box trained?

Absolutely.

I introduce every kitten to litter boxes at an early age, and they consistently use them before they leave for their new homes.

What kind of litter should I buy?

I'll let you know exactly what your kitten has been using before they come home.

Starting with a familiar litter helps make the transition easier. Once your kitten has settled in, you can gradually transition to another litter if you choose.

What food should I feed my kitten?

Every family goes home with detailed feeding recommendations, including the food your kitten has been eating.

I recommend keeping your kitten on the same diet during the transition to their new home before making any changes.

What comes home with my kitten?

Every one of my kittens goes home with carefully prepared information to help make the transition as smooth as possible.

Specific items may vary, but you'll receive everything you need to confidently welcome your new companion home.

Do you offer lifetime support?

Absolutely.

Bringing your kitten home isn't the end of our relationship—it's the beginning.

Whether you have questions next week or years from now, I'm always happy to help. I love watching our kittens grow and become cherished members of their families.

What happens if I can no longer keep my cat?

Life sometimes changes in unexpected ways.

If you ever find yourself unable to keep one of our cats, please contact me first. I am committed to the lifelong well-being of every kitten I raise and will always work with you to help find the best possible solution.
